Chasing Amy

The third film and perhaps most commercial film in Kevin Smith's New Jersey Trilogy. The film is about about a trio of comic book artists whom one i a lesbian and on the other two guys falls in love with despite his best friend and business partner's objections. Chasing Amy is one of the best written and most entertaining films I have seen trying to depict the whole "moder romance" schitck. The film also does a great job of being tied in to the other films, Clerks and Mallrats, subtlely enough without looking like a run-of-the-mill sequal. This film is also a shining example of why Kevin Smith was chosen to rewrite the new Superman flick and why female lead Joey Lauren Adams, the on-screen lead and Kevin Smith's off-screen lead is one of the brightest new stars in film.
