From Kevin Smith - 9/13/2009:

Live SModcast in Red Bank. Last live SMod I can foresee for awhile. Happening in two weeks.

The ticket was high: $90. Very high to watch two guys do something you can listen to online for free. But we were including the SModcast book, signed by me (big deal) and Mos (insanely rare), and the theater size being what it is, a far more intimate installment than the live SModcast in Brantford.

From day one, folks lamented about the high ticket price - particularly in this economy. I'm still getting "Do live SMod cheaper" Tweets.

Let it never be said I don't cross horses in mid-stream. Call me Flabby Flip-Flop.

We're going to offer the last 100 seats at a reduced rate: $45, to be exact.

There's a trade-off: for $45, you get all two/three hours of the Live SModcast, but no Kev/Scott signed book. Also, the folks who paid $90 will get priority seating (but, to be fair, there's not a bad seat in the theater).

So there you go: now you can get two in for the former price of one (minus the book and first choice seating).

But how else to reward those who bought early (and expensive), aside from the signed book and choice seating? Well, how about me and Scott will sign the book in front of you (to you, even) at a post-show reception? We were just going to hand out pre-signed books upon arrival, but since you guys got in first, this is our way of saying thanks.

So there it is: BECAUSE YOU DEMANDED IT, an affordable Live SMod.

$90 ticket gets you priority seating for the show, as well as a post-show meet-and-greet with book-signers, Kev and Scott.

$45 tickets gets you an excellent seat (there are no bad ones, really) for the Live SMod show.

Everyone leaves with a door prize.

Have a two weeks.
