Gee, I'm all worried that you think it's somehow wrong for me to want stuff from a screening that I can't attend. Oh, the inequity! I guess I'll have to turn in my Terminator II jacket plus loads of other tchochkes I've gotten from working in the film biz for years. Kevin should forfeit all the money he earned from selling Chasing Amy production staff shirts saying "Hey! She's Gay!" And all those people buying promo stuff on ebay are frauds, frauds!

It's like this: The screening is not yet sold out. It might not sell out. Since there are fixed costs associated with renting the theater and next to no variable costs, tickets sold over a certain amount represent profit. Don't sell ticket, lose profit. Plain and simple. I'd like the swag and I'd also like to support Kevin and the Diabetes benefit. It's my money to spend, and I _AM_ parting with money here for a screening I can't attend.

Seems the only thing hurt here is your overblown sense of equity. Oh heavens, I'll be walking around with swag I shouldn't have!

Get over it, Ruggie. Usually I enjoy your comments, but you're off base here.

Johnboy

: of having swag that can only be gotten by traveling to the screening doesn't it???
