So, seeing that J&SB4 was out, I picked it up on the way home. I'd really enjoyed J&SB1-3, especially the Amy references in 1 (and the genesis thereof including the '80s relationship flicks), the 2001 bits with Suzanne, and Jay's long rants. This one just kinda left me cold. The only mild chuckle I got was Jay's quick switcheroo outside the abortion clinic ("toughest decision a girl could make...loose chicks!")
What was the whole big deal with the delay? This comic was hardly a breakthrough; has Kevin really been working on it that long? Maybe the best bit was the self-referential "about ten months late" on the credits page. I've come to expect some pretty good stuff from Kevin; the Clerks comic was hilarious, especially the "comic trivia" bit; and Oni Double #12 Bluntman and Chronic was drop dead funny.
Oh well, you can't hit every time.
