This is an archived board. When it gets to a certain size it gets archived and then a new board is started. So old posts (ones on older boards) can't be responded to. It makes it easier to see new posts this way, since you can only repond to new ones. I've seen those boards that move posts all around (depending on how recent the responses are) and they are very confusing. I prefer it the way this board works.
If you are looking for a post of yours you can always just use the "Find" tool in the "Edit" menu. Type in your board moniker and it will find instances where your name appears on the page. (After you've done one "find" you'll need to do a "Find Again" which is under the "Find" tool to find more of your name.) I use this technique a lot.
