You'd be surprised, my friend, how little cash writing a comic book... a smaller label comic, no less... makes, especially compared to the bread Kevin could be making on, I dunno, doing more script polishes or commercials or the like.
No offense, but that line of reasoning of yours is pretty damn shakey.
Kevin does the comics to have fun, to fill out the stories and backstories, and to give the fans a little extra... I think that's pretty obvious.
