Freud would say that the dump is Kevin's abjection, and that through the dump, he is establishing the borders between himself and the "other" which occurred during the mirror stage, and that rather than enjoying the "real" which is the dump, he is catharting his jouissance, and in a narcissistic attempt to define himself through the "symbolic" which is the language of the father, or, the entertainment industry.
