Everyone here seems to enjoy, reflect upon, and quote the Trilogy often. Well, I have to say that I missed Star Wars when it first came around. I was too young to really understand all of the themes that were going on it. It wasn't until I was older did I "get" what was really going on in those movies. So let me dissect these ingredients for a moment. A movie made based around the ideas of the forever ongoing fight of good and evil mixed with new and innovative special effects of their time. Once again, they were movies that represented someone's ideas and their vision.
I am sure some of you will bash this post for what I am going to say, but I recently saw "What Dreams May Come" and this movie did all of those things that Star Wars would have done for me, had I been old enough when it originally came out to understand it. I mean the special effects are like nothing that has been done before. The themes are very similar, the ideas or notions about things that could be happening around us right now in places FAR FAR AWAY. So Here is another obscure post that doesn't have anything directly to do with a ViewAskew film, but indirectly has everything to do with ViewAskew. So let the flames begin.......
