Hey, this question goes out to anyone in the know...
What ever happened with Miramax's (or was it Dimension's) planned sci-fi anthology movie? Kevin announced on the boards that he was directing the third film in the series and then...nothing. No word on the project at all.
I know Danny Boyle (Mr. Trainspotting) finished his installment. It stars Heather Graham, Kenneth Branagh and Courtney Cox. I've seen Cox and Graham interviewed where they confirmed filming was complete. (Apparently, Graham is fully decked out in green body paint for her part.)
The second installment was a short film called "Imposter" by Gary Fielder (Things to do in Denver, Kiss the Girls). It starred Gary Sinise and Madeline Stowe. From what I've read, Dimension liked the 40 minute short so much it shelved the short film and greenlit a full-length feature based on the story. Variety reported today that ILM will be doing the effects.
My question is...is the project dead? What's going to happen to Boyle's short? And most importantly, is Kevin still involved and if not, what was his installment going to be about anyway?
