Actually, I thought last night's eppy was kinda lame compared to the first few. Last week's eppy was awesome (the Buffy-Angel crossover event). James Marsters (nemisis vamp) is so fucking great. I hope he comes back throughout the season. Buffy was excellent last night, but Angel seemed to suffer (compared to previous eppys). The suffering seems to alternate between the two shows every week. One week Buffy kicks ass and Angel sucks, the next week, Angel is awesome and Buffy is tired and so on. It's almost like Joss Whedon puts his entire strength into one show and then the next week he slacks off previous said show and focuses entirely on the other show. Although I like Angel, I'm still an avid Buffy fan and would recommend it any day over Angel.
In reference to your comment about the Dogma marketing, I actually noticed that as well. The commercial was also shown during the top prime time hour last Sunday; the hour in which the Simpsons' airs. Imagine that? Coincidence? I think not.

Who is actually going as "Buffy" for Halloween..stake and all.
: for Lion's Gate to use as a main advertising vehicle for DOGMA. I caught the show last night and thought it was pretty good, especially for the WB (although I don't know how I vampire can be in sunlight??). Anyway, I was surprised that it was specifically sponsored by Lion's Gate Films and DOGMA. The angel connection has got to help, plus the chics who will go after Ben and Matt are also going to be abound in the audience, so I'd say it was a wise marketing move. Any opinion eventhough you're probably too busy to ever catch the show.
: Maybe he WB has cheap advertising as well, I don't know??
