I saw the Dogma preview yesterday here in San Fransisco-- LOVED it. Loved the irreverant discussion of religion which still managed to promote faith and hope, loved the preformances of all involved, especially loved all the plugs for comics. It is SO COOL to have a movie take up where a comic book leaves off (Jay and Silent Bob miniseries), and to have a movie actually push comic book icons. I only caught two product cameos-- Hellblazer and Mage. Anybody see any others?

This is a hell of a lot better than DC's Batman and Superman movies, which have nothing but a tiny credit at the end mentioning that DC owns the titles. How many people do you think actually leave a Batman movie and think "gee, I think I'll go to the comic book store now"?

One thing I would have liked to see would be a plug, at least in the end credits, that explicitly says "To see the rest of the story, go to your local comic shop and pick up view askew comics".
