Last week, I arrived at the Metrocenter "Atomic Comics" store at 2:00 p.m., hoping and praying that there were still tickets left to the premiere of "Dogma" tomorrow night.
I walked in and said "can I get tickets to 'Dogma?'" and just like Steve-Dave, they two guys behind-the-counter actually LITERALLY started to laugh at me! They said that they ran out of tickets an hour ago. I said "Really" and the other one said, and I quote, "Well, we have some in the back but they're not for you." They kept laughing at me as I walked out of the store.
I figured if there was anybody who'd sympathize with my "conceited comic book store employee" adventure, it would be Kevin Smith, especially since I suffered the slings and arrows to get DOGMA tickets.
I DID get tickets, eventually, through Arizona State University, but I am still angry with the senseless prickolios at "Atomic Comics."
VIVA LE DOGMA!
