I was speaking hyperbolically... and mostly using a common expression in order to make a point. I wasn't trying to close off your opinion from the debate. Merely to debate you.

I also like almost all of Scorsese's films. "The Last Temptation of Christ" was not one of them. The idea that an entire lifetime was lived in the space of a temptation that lasted a couple of seconds on the Cross was a bit of a strech don't you think?

No, but then I think that's kind of an excessively literal interpretation of the movie.
