Look, I know this is off-topic but please, people, don't flame me into oblivion here. I really just need to know the answer to a question.
I recently purchased The Thin Red Line on DVD and discovered that at many places throughout the film, particularly while the camera was panning slowly, the image skipped, or froze for a second or two. This happens many times so I don't think it's a Dual-Layer switchover. I returned the DVD and got another one; it had the same problem.
Vincent, you have great technical expertise when it comes to DVDs and video technology; I'd really apprecieate any advice. Anybody else, I'd be grateful for whatever you can tell me. Is it my player? Do all TRL DVDs do this?
