: Jay and Silent Bob aren't being marketed towards little kids who can't make decisions for themselves. I mean, what little kid really wants to buy a plush doll of a tubby guy in a trenchcoat? Me on the other hand, I'd put it up in my cube at work, but I'm old enough to make my own decisions. I know it sounds a bit lame, but that's the only reasoning I could come up with.
I just don't think it covers it to my complete satisfaction. At the very least there's the fact that I suspect less than half of Mickey Mouse paraphernalia actually is sold to or for children. C'mon, think about when you were a kid. Mickey sucks ass! His cartoons are insanely boring. To a kid he's nothing... to adults he's an icon.
I think we're talking about a very thin line here. I think it's easy to judge and not as easy to compare and contrast with yourself and the things you love. I think this is a very legitimate subject for us to be debating.
