Hey Kevin,
How's it goin....Busy, Busy, I know. I'll try to be short because I know you're out promoting 'Dogma' w/ Chris (Rock) everywhere so I hear ya on that...just wanted to ask a few & say a little:
1) Saw it this weekend w/ friends....loved EVERY FUCKIN' SECOND--have had the script for close to a year now--excited to see what was left in & what wasn't. George Carlin worked! Was also excited to see a bunch of Orthodox Jews sitting in front of us @ the theatre, really enjoying the flick.
2) We live here on Long Island, play in a Punk Rock group for 8 years or so, toured the world (Australia w/ Warped Tour, Europe, etc), taking a break from the 'rock' & getting prepared to do a first feature film next year (whoa! still can't believe it) in a 'suburban comedy' setting...shooting it guerilla stlye....or rather 'Mariachi' stlye, I should say. Anyway, I've been meaning to shoot over to the 'Secret Stash' in Red Bank (We were there to play Warped Tour @ Asbury Park last year, too) to donate some rad old- school comics to you or trade for some Jay & Bob dolls...would you guys be into that?
3) Just really wanted to know if one day when we were in the middle of production w/ our film here on the island, I could find you somehow (direct e-mail?? & possibly ask you for some crucial advise (specifically about IMFF, WMA, Miramax, Sundance, etc)--if you had the time on an off night (yeah right).....is that an option??
4) Lastly, not to make a shameless plug or anything but....
We also run a Screen Printing Company out here on the island, servicing mostly Independent Record Labels, Film Festivals, Bands called the Underground Press....and just wanted to send you over a catalog of what we do & prices, possibly to compare the prices you get now for all your View Askew merch to see if you could strike a better deal.....just wondering...would that be cool?
Ok, get back to work.....Would love to get a personal response any time you have a second, REALLY LOOK FOWARD TO WORKING W/ YOU SOMEDAY...I hope.
Sincerely,
Tom McCullough
