I saw Dogma on Friday, Nov. 12, when it opened here in Orlando, FL. All I can say is "WOW!" I had first heard about this movie quite some time ago (well over a year, I'd think) and had been quite interested. For months, I would search everywhere trying to get more information on it or find out when it would open. Finally, about 3 months ago, I gave up. Then, about a week before Dogma opened, I saw a trailer while I was out watching some other movie. ::grin:: Imagine my surprise! Well, of course I immediately planned to go see it on opening night. I was most certainly not disappointed. Never do I think I have laughed so much and so hard in a movie, but also experienced moments at which I felt as if I would cry, and then also left the movie theatre THINKING. What's great about the movie is that it can reach you at so many levels. For those analytical types, such as myself, there are lots of layers of meaning. However, if you are just a surface-watcher, like my roommate, you can still laugh your hiney off. ::grin:: My congratulations go out to Kevin for again creating a wonderful movie--he's even surpassed Chasing Amy! I'd also like to commend Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and all of the other wonderful actors on their superb job! Great work, everyone!
