: I know I'm going to get blown away by horrible, unatterable insults from the dedicated in this board, but I just have say in all honesty, I did not like Dogma. Yes, there were parts that were fucking hysterical. I thought Jay - that stud- was wonderful and funny. I liked Affleck and Damon's dinamic particularly towards the end, when shit hits the fan. But my main problem was that I found the film very confusing and I couldn't follow it at all. Add to that that there is next to no character development to be seen. Characters tell us things, they don't show us. That is one of the main reasons why I liked Chasing Amy so much, because the conflict that the Affleck character was dealing with was spoken about, but there was a development in him that we could see, like the scene at the hockey game, for example. Also, I thought Linda Fiorentino was awful. I agree that having an older woman play the part is an interesting choice but, man, she's not the one. She is sooo boring. Joey would have done wonders with that part, me thinks.

: Anyway. I thought Kevin had "resolved" so many things with Chasing Amy that I didnt expect to find those problems again in Dogma. Also, I do think Dogma is a very brave film to make today and the Mooby scene was wonderful for its criticism and exposure of corruption. I also really liked that the only innocent person in the room, was the token woman.

: Thank you Kevin for making them. I'll keep watching.
