I seriously don't think we'll be seeing Jason Lee playing any kind of Brodie/Banky type roles any time soon. I remember when he was in Kissing A Fool and Enemy of the State he said something like he wanted to get away from gen-X/slacker/wise-ass roles. And you know that his character in Clerks 2 would be the ultimate slacker/wise-ass role.
If Jason Lee IS in Clerks 2 I wanna see him and Randall trying to show each other up, and I would wanna see Lee in a very small role.
