I think you folks might be forgetting that the one and only time we saw him previously was in a grainy black & white film shot with less than top-of-the-line camera equipment without close-ups and while he was wearing a hat. Not to mention the fact that this WAS five years ago and that whole aging thing is a pretty tough dragon to slay. As I said before, he looked alright to me. If you want to talk about a Clerk getting a tad soggy around the mid-section, you may have the wrong one (sorry Brian).

Brian(sorry as well) looked a tad "soggy" as you say even in mallrats, i think you're right on about the black & white effect of the first film making them look slim...and just for the record, it would be a travesty to have "new" clerks, it should be randall and dante, and it should be in Black and White, the end.
