I just saw this too, and I wish I could agree with you, but you give the Catholic League and the Catholic Church way too much credit! They are way too small minded to accomplish what you imply. Having survived (just barely!) a catholic childhood and 12 years of catholic school, believe me, they are much more likely to beat you for daring to think about religion. The last thing they want is for you to think about the catholic religion. Then you might realize just how much BS is all is, and rebel. Then they'd have to beat you some more. Believe me, I am not using the term beat lightly or inaccurately. The movie also appears to be very funny, and if there is anything they don't have, it is any sense of humor about any subject, let alone the BS of it all! I plan to see your movie, since I always had too much of a sense of humor & thought way too much to survive with them. And I liked to ask those pesky little questions about "WHY", that they simply do not tolerate.

As for what you said about hoping to make people think about their faith instead of the price of the popcorn as they walk out of the theater, you succeeded. When I walked out of the theater, everyone (well, mostly, I mean, I did hear a few people bitchin' about the popcorn) were talking about God, and how many of them feel the same way about church vs. God.
