Well, he doesn't especially seem to present himself as an idol. He does present small tokens of Jay & Silent Bob (now, this could technically be himself, as Silent Bob is made in Kevin's own image) for the world to take and celebrate. This at least arguably correlates with the actions of the actions of the Mooby corporation, as far as I can tell.
