Hey,
I just wanted to drop a line and say how impressed I was with Dogma! The film is a thought-provoking, funny, and well-acted movie. the ensamble cast really works well together.
The day I went to see it in my hometown of fayetteville,AR, just happened to be the day the Catholic Church was protesting. Everyone who was going to see it just laughed when the leery eyes of the old bags would try to see what tickets we were purchasing. My friends and I asked them how they could judge something they had no idea about and their reply was "I don't have to do drugs to know they are bad."
What a classic close-minded response, I think we enjoyed that exchange as much as the movie. Upon further probe the protestors said they had found some of the script on the net. I thought to myself how surprised I was that they could find it on the net, and wouldn't some of the stuff on the net be a little more pressing to protest then a harmless movie.
I know that my freinds and I really enjoyed it no matter what. Thanks for another in a sure to be long line of great stuf from you Kevin.
One more thing I am a partner in a comic store in town and we can't keep View Askew stuff on the shelves, heck your stuff sells better than X-Men. I also thank you for the time you take to sign stuff I ordered a Clerks poster for the store and everyone is directed to the Stash for their own.
