Hi Kev et all..

Just saw Dogma. Caught the 2:00 matinee. I'm a NY'er, but I'm traveling on business and have been dying for over a week to finally catch the flick.

Quick theatere report: Decent size room, probably holds about 300. Unfortunately I could count everyone in there. 22.

A majority of the crowd (um, about 14) were twenty-somethings, four sat behind me and proceeded to point out the cameo's as they appeared, i.e., "That's Dante!", "Hey, It's Randall!". Annoying.

There were three teeny-bobber girls in the front row. Half way through the flick they appeared a bit bored and started chatting amongst themselves.

The other weird thing I noticed is that it appears there was a Dad there with his small children (six to nine years old range). Hmm.. Pokèman sold out?

Anyway, besides the 2 foot square "patch" just left of center of the screen I really enjoyed the movie. (The patch isn't your fault, I know) I acclimated myself to ignore it about 15 minutes in.

Even though I read the script about a year ago, I still found the movie a tad hard to follow at times. I think it was a sound issue though. I know I missed some key dialogue pertinent to the story line.

Kev, your moviemaking ability has progressed quite a bit, and the camera work was superb. I thought the film flowed perfectly as well. Even though I read the script, I don't feel anything pertinent was left out.

I know I have some sort of false intimacy with you and other Askewers by reading and participating in the board on just about a daily basis. But damn it if I wasn't proud as hell when the movie started rolling. I was thinking about how good you must have felt to see the project finally come together.

Also, I thought the end was extremely powerful and got me all teary like.. :)

From the first viewing, I can't really say it's my favorite of the quad. I still think Amy will hold that distinction because it spoke to me a little more. But still, very fine film making. You should be proud.

One question though. I stayed through the credits, and didn't catch who played the bartender. I'm sure it was an Askewer, anyone know? Also, the credits rolled a bit fast for me to see all the thank-you's

I think I drummed up a little extra business for you too. I told my friends little brother that it was about a spin off of Pokèman character called Dog-èman.

Keep up the good work.

Rich
