Went to see it today for a third time with my brother and newphew in Solon, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland Ohio. Unfortunately not a huge crowd less than 25 people, but I had already seen it in ANn Arbor/Ypsilanti Michigan last week and in Red Bank. It was the first show on a Sunday, usually pretty weak. It was appropriate though that I saw it right after going to church. And I was curious to see it in a matinee crowd. Those few in attendance really enjoyed the film and laughed out loud. The sound in this theatre was the best of the three viewings and I was able to hear each and every awesome treat of dialogue. The sound was horrible in my first two viewings.
Each time I watch it, I get more out of it and notice how strong the acting really is and references to modern outlooks on Catholicism, such as Bethany's cop out of faith due to her lack of ability to bear children is similar to many people's lack of faith due to personal crisis. For example, someone praying for good fortune and a good life, and when it doesn't happen, they instantly lose faith Again, there's not enough that can be said good of this film. Love and thanks who had any part in making Dogma and the fans who continue to support the film.
