: James Bond and Sleepy Hollow should have little effect on the fate of a dialogue-driven "faith" flick. Two totally different audiences. Dogma dropped 52% because it isn't a good film; in fact, it's quite the opposite. An exercise in poor pacing that really needed a visual director, better performers (Carlin did more acting with his eyebrows than the rest of the cast), and an editor with no ties to the material.
I guess I should be diagnosed with multiple personality disorder as I saw both Dogma (last week), and Sleepy Hollow (this week). I wasnt aware these movies had "Totally different audiences". God forbid a Kevin Smith fan might like a Tim Burton film. At least Im not alone. Me and about ten friends saw Dogma last Friday and Sleepy Hollow this one. I always knew we were all a bit odd. Of course I may be wrong here but I think every single flick in the top ten dropped like 47-53 percent this week, I guess that had nothing to do with Burton and Brosnan, they were just all 'not good' films.
