: James Bond and Sleepy Hollow should have little effect on the fate of a dialogue-driven "faith" flick. Two totally different audiences.

I think there are plenty of people who went to any combination of these or considered any of these. I know that lack of desire had nothing to do with my not seeing SLEEPY HOLLOW this weekend. I know a lot of people that went to both.

Wheras I agree that those films have a wider audience, I don't think they're basically different... at least any more than they are different than each other's audience.

: Dogma dropped 52% because it isn't a good film; in fact, it's quite the opposite.

I know hardly anyone that didn't like it overall... although I do know a couple of people whose thumb was only marginally up.

: An exercise in poor pacing that really needed a visual director, better performers...

I can't fully disagree that it wouldn't have been served by a stronger visual director, however I think it was a giant step forward for Kevin in that department.

: Carlin did more acting with his eyebrows than the rest of the cast...

Who gives a crap? Do we need another awful performance like Brando in ONE EYED JACK? Fuck no! Normal people do move their eyebrows, but they don't emote with them constantly. Pay attention to actual people speaking.

I thought some of the perfomances needed work, but I thought Affleck, Lee and Rickman were are brilliant. Mewes and Damon were also very good, although their parts were less demanding.
