It is the autobiography of Russell Simons, co-founder of Def Jam Records and brother of Joe "RUN" Simmons of RUN-D.M.C. In the moive all the "old-school" Def Jammers play themselves (RUN-DMC, Beastie Boys, Fat Boys, L.L. Cool J., etc.) except for Russel Simmons who is played by, I believe Blair Underwood.
