Jesus said "all sins are equal in God's eyes". It's fairly straight-forward...the original Greek translation leaves little room for interpretation of that particular passage.
So basically, a mass murder is as sinful as someone who tells a "white" lie...at least to God.
Repentance is available to EVERYONE. Bartleby was obviously repentant. Bartleby was let into Heaven.
