i also notice a ton of new names on the board. that's sweet. i was a heavy poster for a summer and then took some time off when my questions had been answered. i come back now (even though i read newsaskew every day!) and see a board replete with new names and still kevin posts. watta guy. you think after he releases four great movies, three of which are large commercial successes; a succesful comic run; and an upcming animated series he would post less and less. we really should be thankful that hollywood hasn't converted him to a snobby bastard like so many others.
the real impotus for this post is a movie i saw the other day. it was "butteflies are free." with goldie hawn (gawd is she awful) about a blind man. it was based on a play and essentially dialogue driven. this made me think of our dear mr. smith. has there ever been talk of venturing into the land of theatre? with such talent for dialogue, there could be tremendous productions made, hell "clerks, the live show." could be killer. it could bring a whole generation closer to an art form that is slowly losing out to satelitte feeds, multiplexes, and web tv. plus dante is a trained theatre actor, more so than big screen to say the least...
