Unfortunately the current CD spec can't support it. I guess where I'm going with this is that analog music recordings, played back on analog devices (i.e. LP) sound better and "warmer" then digital recordings played back digitally. Recording in analog, then going digital (which is required to go to CD, duh) is better then direct digital though, some of the "warmth" is preserved.
