Kevin- I saw Dogma two days ago. Halfway through the movie I turned to one of my friends and said "This is officially the best movie I have ever seen" The last half merely reconfirmed that. I have thought you were a genius since Clerks, Mallrats got me over my fear of Shannen Doherty, and Chasing Amy touched me more than ony movie ever had. It was very similar to a lot of life experiences I'd had, and I had run into that judgement myself. It was a truly amazing film, and I still make any friend who hasn't seen it watch it with me. But Dogma, Dogma blew my mind. I think it is one of the most important movies ever made. I have always tried to explain to people why I feel Organized religion is not the best way to go. I was raised in a very religious home, and while I can't get rid of all the things I grew up with I learned how damaging that can be. I don't know that I will be able to get my parents to watch this movie, but I will try. The controversy is wonderful, because it will call attention to the message, and the best way to get people to think sometimes is to piss them off. The imagry, the subtext, the message, the actors, this is brilliance in moviemaking. Thank you for making this film.
