Clerks 2 can't come before Dogma - if ya read the Jay and Silent Bob comics, you'll see that they fill in all the blanks from Mallrats to Dogma via Chasing Amy.
Personally, I trust Kev's writing and judgement waaaay too much to be afraid of a Clerks sequel. Only until they announce that Dante will be played by Arnholdt and that Randall will be replaced by "an amusing CGI enhanced alien" will I'll panic.
