Corey, I have gone to the movie 3 times and each time I went at least 4 to 7 or so people walked out. I personally think its not that big a deal. Some writers I know LIKE it when people walk out of something they have written that is being performed. A guy I know had his play put on at the University of Alabama, my alma mater, at the beginning of last month. It ran for 4 nights in the studio theatre seating 125 people, and people got up and walked out every night, which the playwright got off on. I don't know what I would think if they were walking out of something I had written. I may feel that it is a little cool that ideas I had and words I used were so mind-blowing and offensive to these people, they had to flee before the wrath of these words and ideas actually became part of their dull brains. On the other hand, you sort of wish they'd stick around to see what happens because maybe it will change them for the better and they'll learn something that would make them better people and be entertained at the same time. Oh well, to each his own, and Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke. Obvioulsy they didn't read the disclaimer.
: What a fantiggity-tastic flick.
: Saw it for the second time today in Athens, GA...there were only five folks in the theater and one of them got up and left (!) 1/4 the way through it. Guess that guy didn't like it. I think I enjoyed it enough for the both of us...
