: Hey, I just wanted to post a thanks to Kevin and everyone involved with Dogma. I saw the movie this weekend with my best friend. My dad died when i was 17, 3 years ago. And for most of my life i was not theologically educated. When he died, i began to question all concept of a higher being in the world. It's been one of the few topics that has eluded my discussions with friends. Because of this it has been difficult for me to find answers to the MANY questions i have about religion and the bible. After seeing this movie, i was lucky enough that my friend and I began a discussion about god, and religion and what we believe in and why. And i began to realize that yeah, maybe there is a god. And that i'm not going to hell, just because i don't go to church.
: So thanks to you.
: And to everyone else, i pose this question. Do you believe in god and why? I'd like to know, cuz i think alot of people in the world might believe and not know why or don't believe and really don't get why people do.
First, I try to leave my personal views to myself, but you come across, feeling very strongly about this subject. I'm not all about structured religion, myself. (Funny after 4 yrs of catholic high school, and 4 yrs of catholic college.) But I have faith that when I die, I'm just not going to be stuffed in the ground. I believe in one's spirit. But like everything, it is a matter of opinion. Keep the faith, because you will probably never know till it's your time. Just have fun, screw the rest!
