Hi everyone. I never knew that a movie like Dogma could cause such uproar. This is to everyone that decided to attack and manipulate this flim into a heresy. If you actually saw the film, then I can't really understand why you would attack it? What was so evil and vile about it? It was a great film, but that is just an opinion, and I guess it isn't the world's most popular one. This movie doesn't mock Catholicism, it does quite the opposite. This movie shows the wrongs that have been so prevalent in religion for the past thousand or so years. I'll address a few to be brief. What do you care if Jesus was black? He is still Christ. Now, I'm may lack the proper religious training that some of you have, but I don't think Jesus was ever really big on racism. Actually, I think Jesus taught universal love, but I guess I could be wrong. Why does it bother you that Jesus had brothers and sisters? Do you think that Mary and Joseph were never going to have sex? They were married, they can have sex and it not be a sin, can't they? I have other comments on my mind, but I'll save them for your replies.
If you actually saw the movie, then I will ask you to remember this: Remember when Chris Rock (The 13th Apostile) discussed the difference between an Idea and a Belief? All the good is based in the idea, while the evils lie in the belief. It's good that people have faith in something other than this existance, but you can't tell someone that they must also. It doesn't work like that. What if someone told you that you could not believe in your faith? What would you do then? You would say no if you were truly devout. Do you somewhat understand now? Is it clear? When you pressure someone, they are typically more likely to rebel and/or preform the act with little faith and vigor. Think about this. If you wish, reply to me. At the very least, let people do as they wish when it does not effect you unless you want it to. Thanx.
