Ever since Chasing Amy , I and the rest of my friends have been fans of Jay and Silent Bob. When I first saw the trailers for Dogma, I knew it was a must see. I come from a VERY Catholic upbringing and so do many of my friends for some strange reason. And I must tell you all over there at viewaskew that we all FUCKING LOVED DOGMA. And anybody that doesn't can kiss my ass. I went to see this movie because I thought that it would be funny. I came out enlightened. I saw this movie as one big inside joke that only a "good" Catholic would get. I myself can relate to Bethany; she is the typical lapsed Catholic that many of us can relate to being. And Rufus.
Well I was brought up the idea that God and or Jesus was what ever color you believed him to be. In fact the portraits of Jesus in my house and in my church are of a black Christ. Like I said, this movie gave me more of an insight into religion than I had ever had before. It made me realize that I wasn't the only person that questioned what was written in the Bible. And thanks for making it so damn funny.
