Hazmat's idea sounds pretty interesting. The transformation from B&W to color would have to be VERY cleverly done to work though.

: a friend and i are currently trying to get two small films shot somehow, but the problem is that one takes place in a local Borders bookshop and one takes place in an open plan office. Both these places are awash with fluorescent lighting which is generally crap to film under as it isnt "real" light (it is just flashing so fast most people cant notice, the few that do get headaches). To bring in our own lights would be too expensive so we can either shoot it as a pretend documentary or, as a certain mr smith chose to do, shoot it in black and white.
: So now the man actually has some money to spend, stop forcing his hand about a budgetary constraint he had to make 3 films ago. Besides, the soul asylum music video was effectivley Clerks in colour and i thought that looked fine.
