The following is being reported today at the IMDB:
"Miramax, New York's Biggest Film Company, May Leave The City
Apparently still rankled by New York City's decision to select a local developer to build a movie studio at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Miramax co-chairmen Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who say they were given the impression that the city had agreed to select them for the project, have decided to pull up stakes. "The company is seeking an alternative to Manhattan," a source close to Miramax told today's (Friday) New York Post. Locations in Harrison, NJ and Bristol, CT are being considered, the newspaper said. The Post observed: "Such a move would mean a loss to the city of at least 300 jobs as well as the high-profile Miramax name." An unnamed senior City Hall official told the newspaper, "We wouldn't want to see it happen, but if they wanna go to Jersey, then good luck to 'em."
Umm...what was that about Jersey?
