: Takes little faith once an angel spreads his wings and buys you tequila, hence the reasoning behind her road trip. Not to mention that she subconsciously wanted to spread for Jay.

Oh, that's right. She was hot for Jay. I totally missed that. Puh-leeeeze. The angel's an attention-getter, has been through the ages. You think Mary was lacking in faith, thus the need for the angel to appear to her? How about Moses? And Jacob? And on and on? It's God's modus operandi, it's not a means to restore faith or scare someone into doing something (all biblical angels announce their entrance with the reassurance to "fear not"....come on, think about it).

: Habits are done without a thought to as why they're being done.

But faith and habit ARE wrapped up in each other. My impression is that she DOES have faith, but doubts herself. Ever see Dumbo? Remember the "magic feather?" Same concept, sorry I had to dumb it down for you.

: :And questioning tends to make it stronger....do you honestly think she :MEANT it when she said "I think God is dead?" Nah.

: Absolutely.

Sorry, I didn't believe her the second the words came out of her mouth. Came across (to me) as completely unbelievable, and I think that was intentional. I don't think she even believes herself when she says it, and I don't think her friend (Jeanine Garafolo's character) believed her, either. And, to dip back into Kevin's world, do you honestly think God would pick a faithless athiest to do his work? Nah.

::And I also argue that if one has to question one's faith, then they never had faith to begin with. REFLECTing upon one's faith, however, is a different matter.

Nooo...re-check the bible, babe. Folks question their faith all the time; it absolutely does NOT mean the faith is lacking. And how, exactly, are you differentiating between "question" and "reflect?" You're just choosing a euphemism that means essentially the same thing.

: Speculating is one thing, stating for a fact is another. And your initial post pointed to the latter being done.

Nope. Not at all. Those are my observations, which are as valid to me as yours are to you.
