I saw Amy first too.
Before that the only time I'd heard of Kevin Smith was in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine (which sucks now) when they did an article about his Star Wars fandom. Then when Amy first came out in theaters I saw Kev in an episode of a Canadian TV show that used to be on Sci-Fi called Anti-Gravity Room where he reviewed some comics and talked about how he'd been on the show so much that he was due a set of steak knives. They showed a clip of the Archie scene and i died laughing having been an Archie fan years ago.
Then I saw Amy on video and thought it was a brilliant movie. Saw Mallrats for the first time on ABC, then I saw Clerks for the first time about a year ago. It was interesting watching them backwards.
