I think you'll find the whole "going-down" on people speech in the bar(Chasing Amy), to be an almost exact replica of the scar comparison scene on the boat in Jaws. Even Holden looks at his appendix scar while the other two chat away, like Brody in Jaws! I'm a saddo for details!
Haven't seen Dogma yet cos I'm a UK blokey who didn't get tickets for the fan screening (I'm not bitter though... $%£"*~#!!), so can't help ya there.
