Just check out Go for proof. Beautiful special edition, 19.95 at Wal-Mart.
Only reason Animal House and many others have special editions and regular editions is because the regular versions were rushed out on DVD, while eventually they also made a Special edition, they didn't release two versions the same day or anything.
