Finding this out made me very, very happy.

Apparently, Criterion is putting out a full "bells n' whistles" edition of Rushmore on DVD. Reel.com has the release date as late January 2000. As of yet, there aren't many details on the special features, but it's Criterion, so there'll be AT LEAST commentary and some behind the scenes stuff.

Absolutely LOVED Rushmore and Bottle Rocket. I think they're two of the most underrated flicks of the nineties (along with Jake Kasdan's amazing Zero Effect.)

PS - Last I heard, Wes' follow-up for Rushmore was another original script of his and Owen's about this group of geniuses in New York City who are incredibly misunderstood and sort of become each other's family. Apparently, Bill Murray has already agreed to star.
