Phantasm was such a well done animated version of Batman. But knowing Warner's track record they'll screw us again and not use your idea. They never think deep enough or take enough risks when it comes to making Batman true to the comics. Unless you're talking about the cartoon, which if you took one episode is better than ALL the Batman sequels put together.
