I was at the Fangoria convention on Sunday where I was able to pick up a wide screen copy of Dogma if you can believe it. I realize it's a bootleg, but I'm a bootleg kinda guy. Hey I where boots, what are you gonna do?
After I bought it I started thinking that it probably was obtained in less than honorable fashion. Than I went into the forum room and thought I saw Kevin Smith. Those old High School days of shop lifting came rushing back. I watched the speech and realized that this guy wasn't Kevin Smith. He made a film called Cold Hearts, I'm not too interested in vampires but I bought a copy anyway. It was great. His name is Robert Masciantonio, in his talk he said it was like the Lost Boys meet Dawson's Creek. I really enjoyed watching it.
After the speech I talked with him for a bit. He was extremely nice. I figured I'd post a quick bit to help advertise the film since he was so kind to me.
So for anyone reading this especially Kevin Smith, you should check this film out. It's entertaining and witty. I'm not sure where you can rent it so call your local video store I guess.
Oh and Mr. Smith, the Dogma copies were very good quality if that's any consilation to it's being bootlegged.
