.. ok.. so there I am.. wide awake last night.. I look at the clock and it's 4am.. I lay down and start to surf the channels and I hit A&E. Desert scene.. poor country.. tanks rolling into town so I figure.. Sure.. why not.. should put me to sleep in not time fast..
Name of the movie.. The Beast (1988).. ok.. granted it's got a Baldwin brother in it, but I was able to look past it.. But one thing bothered me during the whole movie.
When the afgan rebels talk, they used sub-titles, yet the russian tank crew spoke perfect English. After the Dune talk earlier on this board I was wondering what your view on sub-titles is. Do you think both languages should be done in sub-titles or do you agree with the way they did it in this case due to the ammount of dialogue the russian tank crew had. Or do you perfer something like 'The Hunt for Red October' where they started with sub-titles then kinda slid into the russians speaking english?

.. even with a Baldwin brother.. it was a cool little movie.. must see for anyone who's been in a combat situation..
