Kevin: Catcher in the Rye?

I was just wondering...

I started reading Catcher in the Rye, friday, it's one great book. The first thing I noticed is the main character is HOLDEN, and later on I saw another character, ED BANKY. Is this mere coincidence? Or was Catcher... an influence?
