Go see Scream 3 at Sony Theatres at the Monmouth Mall. For those of you who live in Monmouth County, you know what I'm talking about. I just saw Scream 3 for the second time. I can't help it. I'm a sucker for scary (even though it wasn't that scary) movies.

It makes long-time Kevin Smith fans very proud to see the dynamic duo pop up in the most Un-ViewAskew movie you could imagine. For those of you who aren't from the Garden State, the Monmouth Mall movie theatre is the Red Bank Area's local theatre. It was close to a standing ovation as soon as Jay and Kevin appear on screen. It feels like these guys you have known for a long time have finally gotten the recognition they deserve.

I want all of you New Jersey residents to think about all of the talent that has come out of Monmouth County. Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Danny Devito, Jack Nicholson........etc... (and of course Kevin and Jay). I was reading a book about New Jersey once and it had a list of movie stars, musicians, directors, producers, authors, etc... that came from Monmouth County. I think the list was nearly two pages long. This wasn't even the list for the whole state of New Jersey, it was just Monmouth County. I also think it is unparralled by any other place in the world.

I just want to thank Kevin, Jay and the rest of the crew for staying close to home, and not forgetting where they came from.

P.S.
I know that this is running long but I have a couple replys to Kevin's recent posts:

1. Mallrats 2.......Maybe not a actual sequel, but a separate movie with some of the same characters.

2. Clerks 2.........see above. A straight-forward sequel seems to have more risks than necessary, plus I'm sure Kevin has more worthy stories to tell.

3. Clerks:The Series.......who needs Clerks 2. This looks funny as hell. Animation looks good too.

4. Non-Jersey movies without Jay and Silent Bob........I could handle non-Jersey movies, but I think Scream 3 proves that Jay and Kevin could be funny anywhere. Maybe small Chasing Amy-type appearances, but please don't do away with them completely.
