: Here is a stab at it!

: : : 1. If you had to choose a celebrity (preferably a director) that has influenced you the most in your life, who would you choose? John Hughes or Spielberg

: : : 2. In what ways did this person influence you (ie: when where you first introduced to their work, when did it first effect you and your goals, and in what ways does it do so?) Describe the situation to the best of your ability. Hughes because of the influence he had on me in High School and the way I started looking at life from a slightly more funny angle.

: : : 3. How would you best describe this director's representation as a celebrity? (i.e. How do the present themselves. Arnold Schwarzenegger had the U.S. Health campaign, Kevin and the webboard, etc.)Hughes low key; Spielberg larger than life

: : : 4. In what ways are this director's role of celebrity manufactured and marketed toward his/hers audience? (How does he/she create their image? i.e. Kevin has Ming create and maintain a web page which he interacts with)
Hughes kind of dropped out of sight; spielberg is a mass marketing machine..although he continues to put out quality product

: : : 5. In what ways do this individual's marketed traits appeal to you? (How does this created image make you more interested in this individual?)it doesnt really I just like his (hughes) storytelling ability

: : : 6. Do any of these traits disgust you, or taint your image of the individual in any way? (Has the individual ever created an image that didn't jive with you?)I wasnt to crazy about Spielbergs Schindlers List...but I am not jewish..so I wasnt as close to the story as he was

: : : 7. What do you feel are important duties of an individual in a celebrity status? (How should a celebrity conduct themselves? Are there different rules for a celebrity than there are for everyday people?)there are only different rules because fans and mainly the media have created them. the are just as human as I am.

: : : 8. How do you define the term "celebrity," personally? someone who's face is plastered on magazines; talk shows and is constanly in the limelight.

: : : 9. What was your first major project released, and how has it's reception adjusted your role as a celebrity? (This applies to filmmakers specifically, but if your area of profession was influenced by your chosen individual then give me the skinny!)

: : : 10. Has the inception of this celebrity role affected your work in any way? (if you consider yourself to be a celebrity?)

: : : 11. How has your own role as a celebrity (within your own filmmaking endeavors and/or through your participation on the Viewaskew Web Board) been a product of construction; proved a profitable marketing tool?

: : : 12. How has your role as a celebrity affected your personal life and your relationships with fans?

: : : 13. Are their any aspects of celebrity status that have discouraged you, or garnered a negative influence on your role as an individual? (how has being a celebrity affected you?)

: : : 14. What is your take on the notion that any individual can attain a celebrity status? (do you think anyone can be a celebrity?)sure anything is possible...that is what makes this country so great...a little hard work anmd a certain amount of timing and luck...

: : : 15. In what ways does this web board help create celebrity status for both the filmmakers that frequent it, and the posters that post here?only on a micro-cosmic level does it create celebrity status for the posters...once I leave the board I never give them another thought...

: : : 16. Does the formation of internet based celebrity status rely solely on the inclusion of an already publicly known celebrity? (in other words, is it the fact that
: : : Kevin Smith is involved with the discourses found on the web board that makes it easier for any poster to harbor a celebrity-like status on the board?)sure..It also means Kevin is closer to us than most "celebraties" well as close as he can be..since he really doesnt know any of us

: : : 17. In what ways has the function of the board changed since its inception? What were the contributing factors to this change?

: : : 18. How does the media perceive the web board in regards to celebrity status? Do you agree with this interpretation of the board?sure
